Whereas I consider the city is compressed, limited by the space, it's a magnificent jewel near the sea. The architecture of the buildings is amazing and there is really one style. Since few years , the city is in expansion with new taller skyscrapers and it could change the face of the city where currently the face is still turned into the past. The downtown district is new and nice. All the north coast of the city is very nice if you like to walk. One of the main street to see is Hamra Street and also all the downtown. There is a multitude of restaurant in the city. It's very easy to move and to bargain for the taxi. The people are welcoming and helpful. This city, in the spirit, is a mix of Mediterranean cities and the cities of the gates of the Middle East.
